Pav bhaji recipe ( Mumbai Street style) | tasty & easy pav bhaji recipe

About Pav Bhaji

Pav Bhaji is a famous street food in the city of Mumbai, India. This recipe is made by mixing spices with vegetables.  Pav Bhaji means something like this In Marathi, 'pav' means bread roll and 'bhaji' is a veggie dish mixed with vegetable gravy. When these two are served together, it is called pav bhaji.

Pav bhaji

Today you will find different types of pav bhaji, today you will find variety at a common pav-bhaji street food vendor.  From cheese to mushroom-flavored bhaji recipes are also available in hotels.

Pav bhaji masala plays an important part in this recipe without which it would not seem like a piece of cheese in pizza.  My one suggestion is that some street food people add red color to it because it gives a not taste so it's better if you don't add it. It's a common masala powder that you can easily find in the shops around you.  If you want, you can also make a home, sometimes I will teach you in my blog.

Fresh vegetables like potato, cauliflower, tomato, and Shimla prepper are steamed in a pressure cooker to make pav bhaji.  Potatoes are mostly used in this vegetable.  Then all these vegetables are mashed.  Indian hot spices are then added.  Finally, by adding butter you can enjoy this delicious pav bhaji.

Pav bhaji is served with soft butter toasted bread, onions, and lemon.

I recently wrote a recipe about Puri Bhaji in the early days of my blog.  If you read it, you will love making this dish.
